Nursery Information
Evelyn Street School nursery is situated within Evelyn Street Primary Academy building, on Evelyn Street. We are not affiliated to any local private sector nurseries.
Nursery is the first step into the world of education and is often a child’s first venture alone into the larger world outside the family home. What children experience and learn in Nursery creates strong and lasting foundations on which they can build throughout their life. So, we believe it is essential that the experiences are of the highest quality.
This has been recognised by Ofsted who have judged our school as OUTSTANDING with our Nursery OUTSTANDING in all areas. We continue to strive to ensure we maintain this high standard at all times.

OPEN EVENINGS
Our Nursery will be holding the following Open Evenings during the year (2025-2026).
Autumn Term:
- Monday 10th November 15.15-16.00 - All are welcome
- Monday 8th December 15.15-16.00 - For children starting Nursery in January 2026
Spring Term:
- Monday 2nd March 15.15-16.00 - All are welcome
- Monday 23rd March 15.15-16.00 - For children starting Nursery in April 2026
Summer Term:
- Monday 8th June 15.15-16.00 - All are welcome
- Monday 29th June 15.15-16.00 - For children starting Nursery in September 2026
Additional private paid hours
- £19.50 per session for 3 year olds (3 hours)
- £27.00 per session for 2 year olds (3 hours)
SCHOOL MEALS
- Lunch £3.05 per day
- Snack 25p per day

Please be aware that parents have until:
31st March to apply for funding for a nursery place starting in April.
31st August to apply for funding for a nursery place starting in September
31st December to apply for funding for a nursery place starting in January
